Matt McCormick loves solving business problems using technology. So far his career has been mainly focused on developing web applications. He built his first website in 1997 and has enjoyed developing for the web ever since. He holds a Bachelor of Science – Major in Computer Science from the University of Victoria.
He has lived in Hong Kong; Nairobi, Kenya; Zagreb, Croatia; Warsaw, Poland and Suzhou, China. He is currently living in Victoria, BC, Canada which he considers his home for the time being.
Outside of work, Matt tries to get away from the computer and live in the real world. He is currently working on improving his communication skills through Toastmasters and taking Improv classes. He has been taking Salsa dancing lessons since 2009 and performs with the local Salsa Caliente team a few times per year. He works out several times per week and enjoys reading and learning about business & entrepreneurship, personal finance, investing, cultures, African development and human psychology.
